Mike Philbrick CIM, AIF
Mike Philbrick is the Chief Executive Officer of ReSolve Global*. He has over 30 years of experience in investment management and is a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF)
He is responsible for investment decisions, coaching, and strategic leadership at ReSolve Global*, and has co-authored the book Adaptive Asset Allocation: Dynamic Global Portfolios to Profit in Good Times – and Bad (Wiley), as well several whitepapers and research focused on adding new insights to the quantitative global asset allocation space. Prior to launching ReSolve Asset Management Inc. with his partners, Mike held senior investment industry positions with Scotia McLeod, Richardson GMP, and Macquarie Group. Preceding his investment career Mike played professional football in the CFL, winning the Grey Cup Championship in 1999 and being inducted into the Hamilton Tiger-Cat Walk of Fame in 2015.
Rodrigo Gordillo
Rodrigo is President of ReSolve Global* as well as Co-Founder and portfolio manager of the Return Stacked® ETF suite. Rodrigo brings nearly two decades of investment industry experience, specializing in developing innovative and diversified systematic investment strategies to a global clientele.
His expertise has been focused on the advancement of Return Stacking, All-Terrain portfolio construction, Managed Futures, and Systematic Global Macro strategies. Rodrigo has made significant contributions to the investment community through a series of insightful whitepapers, the book Adaptive Asset Allocation, the ReSolve Riffs Investment Podcast and The Get Stacked Investment Podcast.
Rodrigo’s investment philosophy and approach are shaped by a journey that underscores the importance of resilience, adaptability, and a global perspective in mastering the complexities of dynamic markets.

Adam Butler, CFA, CAIA
Adam is Chief Investment Officer of ReSolve Global* as well as Co-Founder and portfolio manager of the Return Stacked® ETF suite. He leads the research and portfolio management efforts at ReSolve Global* and has deep expertise in quantitative investing and systematic portfolio management. Prior to co-founding ReSolve Asset Management, he held portfolio manager roles at Richardson GMP and Macquarie Private Wealth, and was a Trader at Scotiabank. Adam is a CFA and CAIA charterholder.
At ReSolve Global*, Adam continues to evolve the firm’s quantitatively-focused investment process alongside his partners. He has made significant contributions to the investment community through a series of insightful whitepapers, the book Adaptive Asset Allocation, the ReSolve Riffs Investment Podcast and The Get Stacked Investment Podcast.
Andrew Butler, PhD, CFA
Andrew Butler is Chief Investment Officer and portfolio manager for ReSolve Asset Management Inc.
Andrew leads the research, development and implementation of ReSolve’s machine learning and portfolio optimization ecosystem.
Andrew has earned a PhD from the University of Toronto, Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering; an M.A. in Applied Mathematics, York University; an Honours B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics & Physics, Memorial University, and is a CFA Charterholder.
Nicholas Markos
Nicholas Markos is the Head of Futures Trading at ReSolve Asset Management Inc. and he has 26 years of experience in alternative investments with a focus on managed futures strategies.
He has extensive experience in managed futures strategy development, execution, risk management and qualitative/quantitative manager due diligence. He was Director of Research at Acorn Global Investments and Director of Research at Infinity Management Canada. Mr. Markos has a BCom in Finance from Concordia University.
Steven Braun
Steven Braun is responsible for ongoing investment research, strategy development, and portfolio management at Newfound Research. Prior to joining Newfound in July 2019, he was an investment analyst at Frontier Asset Management (May 2016 – June 2019).
Steven holds a Master of Science in Applied Quantitative Finance from the University of Denver and graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Investment Analysis and Corporate Finance.”

Brady Stibi, CAIA is a Senior Member of the Advisor Solutions Team at Newfound Research. His role primarily includes helping investors align portfolio optimization with client behavior via the return stacking structure and toolset.
As a staunch advocate for alternative investments and thoughtful diversification, return stacking was a “light bulb moment” in his quest for building more resilient and stick-with-able investment portfolios. When he’s away from the desk, he likes to lift weights, hike, travel, read, watch college football and make up new words, like “stick-with-able”.
Spencer Booth, CIMA®, CRPC®

Spencer Booth is Vice President, Advisor Solutions, Newfound Research, where he partners with financial advisors to help them implement innovative strategies, such as the Return Stacked® ETF Suite. Drawing on over a decade of experience, Spencer focuses on optimizing portfolios to align with the evolving needs of today’s investors.
His background includes roles at O’Shares Investments, Pacer ETFs, Schroders, and Putnam Investments, where he developed expertise across multiple product types, including ETFs, mutual funds, SMAs, and variable annuities.
Spencer graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designations.
Richard Laterman, CFA

Richard is a Portfolio Manager at ReSolve Asset Management Inc., with over 18 years of investment experience on both the buy and sell side of capital markets.
Richard spent the first few years of his career as a trader for two of Brazil’s largest independent brokerage firms. He then joined one of Brazil’s largest pension plans as a portfolio manager and moved on to became a partner and co-portfolio manager at a boutique asset manager. Richard is a CFA charterholder and frequently co-hosts ReSolve’s weekly Riffs podcast.
